When we think about water, we know that different water have different levels of minerals and residue yet for many, water is just water. Something we drink to keep out bodies hydrated and quench our thirst when needed. When we visit the supermarket, we may just grab the water that cost the cheapest until you see on the shelf, a bottle that stands out from the crowd. Possibly the brand would be Evian. The  internationally famous water from the springs of the French Alps but mostly because of their unique glass bottle designs and collaborations with artist and designers.

The most recent is with world renowned Fashion blogger, Chiara Ferragni who recently opened her first flagship store in Milano with unique, glittery and cheerful apparel designs with her iconic symbol, the open eye.

DEEFERENT #12 : GUCCI FINGERS

Everything is inspired from something and fused into something new. Fashion is one field that experiments a lot on this from what is worn to the minor details of accessories that compliment one's style.

Rings, throughout the ages, have been used as symbols of power for rulers and even the popes and also as a reminder of commitment to something important like the communion of two beings. Gucci has taken their rings to a whole new level with an interesting input of inspiration, blend of colours and materials from indian god mythology to floral and animalistic themes.

DEEFERENT #11 : AMI X EASTPAK



Most of the time when we think of backpacks, we might travel back in time of how useful it was to carry school books or maybe that hiking trip where everything you needed was collected and ready to be brought on your back. 

Today, backpacks have become more design centric. More thought in the use of materials, colour and comfort is used in the production of backpacks. Alexandre Mattiussi, famous creative designer of his very own fashion label, AMI, did his very own limited edition version for an EASTPAK collection.

Sleek looking black nylon fabric oversized backpacks accompanied by striking coloured zips and touchups to give it a cool yet deeferent feel.

The Eastpak x AMI collection comprises of a tote bag, backpack and oversized bum bag which are available in limited quantities from selected shops ex. LaRinascente and on the Eastpak website itself.











DEEFERENT #10 : KENZO GIRL LOOSES IT






Kenzo's commercial definitely taps into a deeferent angle to promote its female perfume. A girl is in a ballroom as someone is being congratulated for their success. Everyone around her is immersed in it, she tries to partecipate but something else within her decides for her to be excused. She exits the room and there she starts to tear up until an unbelievable catchy song starts and she looses it from crazy eyes ticks to fluid body movements with a beautiful finale of her jumping into Kenzo's iconic eye of flower petals. Shows the brands desire to highlight the importance of being true to our curiosities and need to express it. Sensational even without smelling the perfume.

DEEFERENT #9 : DIESEL'S "GO WITH THE FLAW"



When we talk about being Deeferent, we acknowledge that it's about doing things that the normal wouldn't do.. Artist, Inventors, Visionaries are those who risk being Different.. and how wonderful would that have felt rebelling their idea or themselves into existence.

Diesel, recently came out with their new campaign "Go with the Flaw" .. a great play of words with Go with the Flow whereby imperfections, mistakes and taking the rowdy yet more fun and exciting ruote is celebrated.

DEEFERENT #8 : OFFLINE


How many of us tell ourselves and others that we are not addicted to the internet yet when a some technical glitch goes on like a webpage that doesn't open, we start subtly get anxious because we just 'need' to see that page open, being used to the fluidity and efficiency the internet has always promised us.. 

Chris Bolin, creates an eye catchy online artwork that when the link is clicked, it shows a page telling you to go offline to open it.. Deeferent to what one would expect yet Hilarious because by going offline we will never get to see that page but maybe something even better that goes beyond the limited 2D virtual experience.

We are human beings with the need to engage with Life. Life which is filled with the unknown and adventure. This may be scarier than the comfort of our own screens, but will be an unforgettable one.
